Shamyl Hussain was born on 10 October 2004 in Islamabad, Pakistan. He developed his skills through regional and youth cricket before playing for Pakistan Under-19s, Pakistan Shaheens and the senior Pakistan team. He made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on 11 March 2026, scoring four runs in his first international innings.

• Scored 151 runs during the 2024 Under-19 World Cup.
• Scored 899 runs in nine matches during the 2025–26 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

• Recorded six consecutive scores of fifty or more across first-class and List A cricket.
• Hit a 21-ball half-century on his Pakistan Super League debut for Quetta Gladiators.
• Finished PSL 2026 with 215 runs and three half-centuries.
