At CA Sports, we take pride in producing high-quality cricket bats crafted from carefully selected English Willow. As willow is a natural material, every bat is unique and may contain natural variations in grain structure, appearance, and performance characteristics.
To ensure customer confidence, CA Sports offers a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, subject to the terms outlined below.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects, including:
- Faults in the construction of the bat.
- Manufacturing defects related to the handle fitting or bonding.
- Structural issues resulting directly from the manufacturing process.
In the event of a verified manufacturing defect in the handle attachment, CA Sports will repair or replace the handle as deemed appropriate by our quality assurance team.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
Improper use of the bat.
- Miss-timed shots, edge impacts, or yorker deliveries striking the toe of the bat.
- Normal wear and tear from regular play.
- Inadequate knocking-in or bat preparation.
- Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications.
- Use of the bat in extreme weather conditions, including excessive heat, moisture, or humidity.
- Water damage caused by use on wet or damp pitches.
- Use of non-leather balls, bowling machine balls, composite balls, tennis balls, or other unsuitable ball types.
- Cosmetic changes, surface marks, dents, or discoloration resulting from normal usage.
Note:
Warranty coverage applies only to genuine CA Sports products carrying an original CA Sports barcode and purchased through authorized dealers, distributors, or official CA Sports sales channels.
Important Information About Willow
Cricket bats are manufactured from English Willow, a natural and relatively soft material designed to perform against a hard cricket ball. As a result:
- Minor surface cracks, seam marks, and indentations are a normal part of a bat’s life cycle.
- Small cracks do not necessarily affect performance and can often be repaired through routine maintenance.
- Regular oiling, knocking-in, and proper bat care are essential for maximizing durability and performance.
Higher-grade willow, including Grade 1 bats, is generally softer and more performance-oriented than lower grades. Consequently, premium-grade bats require greater care and proper usage.
Repairs
Minor handle issues, surface cracks, and routine wear-related repairs may be carried out locally by a qualified bat repair specialist and are not considered grounds for replacement.
Warranty Claim Process
To submit a warranty claim, customers must provide:
- Proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation).
- Clear photographs and details of the issue.
- The bat’s barcode or product identification details, where applicable.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by CA Sports.
Warranty Period
Warranty claims must be submitted within 6 Months from the original purchase date.
Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all shipping and freight charges associated with warranty inspections, repairs, and replacements unless otherwise agreed by CA Sports.
Please Note: Cricket bats are performance products, not lifetime products. Their longevity depends on playing frequency, preparation, maintenance, storage conditions, and the manner in which they are used. Proper care and responsible usage will significantly extend the life and performance of your CA Sports bat.
