As an opener, every innings begins with a challenge. Having the right bat in my hands allows me to start with positive intent from ball one.
Tanzid Hasan Tamim is an exciting left-handed opening batter who has emerged as one of Bangladesh's brightest young cricketing talents. Born on 1 December 2000 in Bogura, Bangladesh, Tanzid is known for his positive intent at the top of the order, elegant stroke play, and fearless approach against both pace and spin. Having progressed through Bangladesh's age-group system, he has developed into one of the country's most promising opening batters across all formats of the game.
Tanzid first gained national recognition through consistent performances in domestic and youth cricket, earning selection for Bangladesh's squad in the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Throughout the tournament, he played an important role as Bangladesh secured its first-ever ICC World Cup title at any level, finishing among his team's leading run-scorers and demonstrating the temperament required for international cricket.
Following his Under-19 success, Tanzid continued his development through Bangladesh's domestic structure, representing Rajshahi Division, Prime Bank Cricket Club, and several Bangladesh Premier League franchises. His performances for Bangladesh A and the Bangladesh Emerging Team further strengthened his credentials and ultimately earned him his maiden international call-up.
He made his One Day International debut during the 2023 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka before making his T20 International debut against Zimbabwe in 2024. His confident starts, attacking mindset, and ability to capitalize on the powerplay quickly established him as one of Bangladesh's preferred opening batters in white-ball cricket. In 2026, he earned his maiden Test cap, becoming an all-format international cricketer for Bangladesh.
Beyond international cricket, Tanzid has built valuable experience in franchise competitions, representing teams such as Khulna Tigers, Chattogram Challengers, Dhaka Capitals, and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. Competing alongside some of the world's leading cricketers has further accelerated his growth and enhanced his reputation as a modern attacking opener.
As a CA Sports Brand Ambassador, Tanzid Hasan represents the next generation of international cricket. His fearless batting style, commitment to continuous improvement, and determination to succeed perfectly align with CA Sports' values of innovation, quality, and high-performance equipment trusted by elite cricketers around the world.
